Privacy Policy, AI Notice & Support

Last updated: July 16, 2026

This page applies to the PhaseBloom mobile application for users in the European Union, United States, and other supported regions.

PhaseBloom works locally on your device, does not require an account, and does not use a backend to store your personal entries.
No account required.
Your entries stay on your device.
No cloud backend for personal data.
Anonymous diagnostics via Sentry only.

1. Privacy Policy

PhaseBloom is designed with privacy in mind. Personal information you enter, such as cycle entries, mood logs, notes, reminders, and preferences, is stored locally on your device.

This information is not uploaded to our servers and is not accessible by the developer.

2. Data Stored on Your Device

You may optionally add a profile photo for your Bloom partner from your photo library or camera. This photo is stored only on your device in a private app-internal folder, Application Support/bloom_photos/, and is displayed on the Bloom page.

Photo library or camera access is requested only when you choose to add a photo. On Android, PhaseBloom uses the system photo picker or camera app flow where available.

The photo is not saved to your system photo gallery, not uploaded to a cloud backend, and not synchronized by PhaseBloom. Only the file name reference is stored in the local encrypted database; the image file itself is not additionally encrypted by PhaseBloom and is protected by the operating system app sandbox.

On iOS, the local database and Bloom photo folder are excluded from iCloud and iTunes backups. On Android, PhaseBloom excludes app data from Android Auto Backup and device-to-device transfer.

3. Crash Reports & Diagnostics

To improve app stability and troubleshoot issues, PhaseBloom uses Sentry, a third-party crash reporting service.

Limited technical data may include:

Personal notes, mood entries, and cycle data are not intentionally transmitted through crash reporting.

The photo picker, camera flow, image cropping, local file path handling, and bundled app fonts run locally on your device. The fonts are included with the installed app as local files, including fonts originally obtained from Google Fonts; they are not loaded from Google Fonts at runtime. These features do not add new analytics, tracking, backend services, or third-party data sharing.

4. How Information Is Used

5. Data Sharing

PhaseBloom does not sell or share your personal data.

Limited technical diagnostic data may be processed by Sentry solely for crash reporting and troubleshooting.

6. Data Retention

Your personal data remains on your device until you delete it manually or uninstall the app.

Because PhaseBloom does not require an account, there is no server-side profile or cloud account storing your entries.

7. Your Choices

You may delete your data at any time by removing entries in the app or uninstalling PhaseBloom.

If you replace or remove the optional Bloom profile photo, the previous image file is permanently deleted from your device.

8. AI Notice

PhaseBloom does not currently use AI to make medical decisions, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations.

If AI-supported features are added in the future, this page will be updated to explain what the feature does, what data it uses, and important limitations.

9. Medical Disclaimer

PhaseBloom is intended for wellness, self-reflection, and informational purposes only. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or contraception guidance.

10. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Updates will be published on this page.
